We are lucky in southern hemisphere (in Australia) to get an opportunity to see the Venus-Moon Conjuction for over two months now. It’s hard to shoot Venus as the definition and fidelity of images through a telescope is not that great as Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system! (and you thought Mercury!).
I took an opportunity to use my super zoom point-and-shoot camera to capture this Venus-Moon Conjuction. The moon was a the waxing crescent at roughly 33% and provided a nice opportunity to capture its proximity to Venus. The quality could have been better – but thats the best I could shoot without tracking the object.
