Last night, I took my first deep space astrophotograph. I chose the Eagle Nebulae, which was at the zenith. I took 180 shots with 10 sec exposure over just 30 minutes. I was so mesmerized that I didn’t think of zooming in to see the horsehead or pillars of creation, which this nebulae is known for. This star cloud is also known as M16.

The Eagle Nebula, also known as Messier 16, is a vast star-forming region located about 7,000 light-years away in the constellation Serpens. The nebula spans roughly 70 by 55 light-years and contains both a young open star cluster and several active stellar nurseries. Its striking shape, resembling an eagle with outstretched wings, andwas first captured in detail by the Hubble Space Telescope.
