Brain-like computing in the horizon

When an adult reads news article for his or hers daily knowledge dose, or a  kid reads a textbook preparing for an exam, the human brain processes the information and stores it in the memory at the same time.  This is what differentiates us, homo-sapiens, from machines, until now.   But a team of electrical engineers have developed a new design for memory chips which are just as think as a single atom.   This not only makes the handling of memory more efficient and faster but also paves way for faster computing.  Current systems have a processor sitting separately from physical memory, which involves in slower read/write but also consumes power to do so.  This new design combines them all into an integrated unit, mimicking our brain.  Those who thought Moore’s Law had ceased to work, can rethink and re-evaluate in the light of this new discovery.  Read more for details.
